Brett Cook is a Partner at F-Prime, where he focuses on investments in healthcare technology and service companies. At F-Prime, Brett has led or participated in our investments in Blue Rabbit (acquired by Wedgewood Pharmacy), Iora Health (acquired by One Medical), PatientPing (acquired by Appriss Heath), VitalWare (acquired by Health Catalyst), 1up Health, AppliedVR, BenchSci, Better Life Partners, Bluebird Kids Health, Equip, Expressable, NOCD, Notable, Paradigm Health, Proximie, Rippl, and Wellbeam, among others. While at F-Prime, and in collaboration with GV and the Broad Institute, Brett also helped launch and run Project Beacon, a social benefit organization that facilitated more than 1.5 million COVID tests for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and K-12 schools.
Prior to rejoining F-Prime in 2018, Brett led the finance team at PatientPing (acquired by Appriss Health), a healthcare technology company providing real-time admission and discharge notifications to coordinate patient care. Previously, Brett worked at Aledade and McKinsey & Company.
Brett holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S.E. in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University.
Derrick Williams is the Receptionist at F-Prime, joining in October 2018. Prior to joining F-Prime, Derrick worked in the Security field with Northeast Security for five years. Derrick attended Gibbs College, where he majored in Computer Networking Operations.
Brian joined F-Prime in 2018 and focuses primarily on investments in the biopharmaceutical and medical technology sectors. Prior to joining F-Prime, Brian was an engagement manager at McKinsey and Company, where he advised pharmaceutical and medical technology companies on business development, R&D, and strategy topics.
Brian holds a PhD in immunology from Yale University and received his B.S. in biochemistry from the University of Notre Dame.
Eleni Russell joined in 2018 and is Senior Director of Finance at F-Prime. Eleni has over 15 years of venture capital and private equity experience. Prior to joining F-Prime, Eleni served as an Accounting Manager at Fidelity Investments. During her six years at Fidelity, Eleni was responsible for managing venture capital and private equity entities within the Corporate Accounting group. Prior to her work at Fidelity, Eleni served as a senior accountant at TVM Capital, a venture capital firm focused on life sciences and healthcare.
Eleni holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Suffolk University.
Davina Magargal is the Head of Marketing at F-Prime, where she leads the firm’s brand strategy, communications, and marketing initiatives. With over two decades of experience in the venture capital industry, Davina brings deep expertise in strategic communications, investor relations, and high-impact event programming that supports firm-wide objectives and portfolio growth.
Before joining F-Prime, Davina was responsible for investor communications at Excel Venture Management, a venture capital firm focused on life science technologies. Prior to that, she led marketing at Globespan Capital Partners, a global venture firm focused on scaling technology companies, where she oversaw integrated marketing strategy, public relations, digital platforms, and event execution.
Earlier in her career, Davina led marketing and communications at JAFCO Ventures and held operations and marketing roles at Tradition Financial Services (TFS), where she managed the firm’s events and brand initiatives.
Davina holds a BA from Cedar Crest College.
Rachel Feely-Kohl joined F-Prime in January 2018, where she leads the platform team for the tech fund. Prior to F-Prime Rachel spent four years in Chicago supporting community growth and expansion for high-growth companies, including WeWork and Startup Institute. Immediately prior to joining F-Prime, Rachel was the Head of Community for FinTEx Chicago, a FinTech industry association, where she oversaw program development and membership. She began her career working for non-profits, where she helped launched entrepreneurial-focused community programs in the US and abroad.
Rachel received her BA in Government & Politics from the University of Maryland-College Park.
Jay Farber is a Venture Partner at F-Prime, where he leads early-stage investments in FinTech and SaaS companies. Jay joined F-Prime in 2015. He has led or participated in investments in Ashby, Papaya Payments, AvantStay, Quovo, Snapsheet, Vestwell, and System2.
Jay is also General Manager of the technology (GPX) business at Juniper Square, a leading institutional fund administrator and technology provider to VC, PE, and PERE funds. Juniper Square’s clients manage more than $1T in investor capital.
Jay is physically a Bay Area resident and culturally a Seattleite, but has invested across the country and does not hold the Patriots fandom of his F-Prime colleagues against them (mostly).
John Vigeant is a Venture Partner with F-Prime and a recognized leader in the devops and security communities. John is VP, Americas for ObserveIT, the world’s #1 Insider Threat Management Solution. Previously John was CEO of Reddo Mobility, a code-less provider of enterprise mobility solutions for large enterprises and CEO of Tracelytics (acquired by AppNeta), a SaaS-based application performance management (APM) solution that provides deep visibility into the performance of distributed Web applications.
Earlier in his career, John led business development for XenSource until its acquisition by Citrix for $500M. John continued with Citrix until 2011 when he joined Reddo Mobility. John serves as an advisor to many early stage technology companies and is a valued resource to our portfolio companies on product strategy and operations.
Renée Beccia is the Head of Finance and joined F-Prime in July 2015 to help support the finance and administrative functions of the firm. Prior to joining F-Prime, she was employed by Prism VentureWorks where she held the positions of Accounting Manager and Controller. She also held various accounting roles at AEW Capital Management LP in their Direct Investments Group and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in their Assurance and Advisory Services division.
Renée holds a B.S. in Accountancy from Providence College.
Christine D’Attilio joined F-Prime in October of 2005. She is Executive Assistant to Robert Weisskoff, PhD, Jess Alston, PhD, and Muz Mansuri, PhD. Prior to F-Prime, she worked as an Executive Assistant for Fidelity and Pembroke Real Estate supporting the senior project management teams, assisting in special projects and event planning. Christine received her BFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
