Lucia Del Guerzo

Lucia is an Executive Assistant and the Office Manager of F-Prime’s San Francisco Office. Lucia supports a number of Principals across the firm’s San Francisco and New York City offices.

Prior to F-Prime, Lucia was Executive Assistant to the Dean of Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Lucia also previously held EA and Development Associate roles at a non-profit in the Boston area, after transitioning from roles in Music.

Lucia received her M.M. in Collaborative Piano from the New England Conservatory of Music, and B.A. in Piano Performance from University of California, Santa Cruz.

Stephanie Robotham

Stephanie is a Venture Partner at F-Prime, advising portfolio companies in the USA, Europe, and India on their GTM strategies for sales, marketing, and customer success. She is also currently a Value Accelerator Operating Advisor at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, and previously held roles at Salesforce, Cordial Inc., Iterable, and Optimizely. Prior to her current roles, she was CMO at Gainsight where she successfully re-structured the Marketing and Business Development organizations ahead of the company’s $1.1bn exit in 2020, gaining valuable M&A experience along the way.

Stephanie brings more than 30 years of experience building and advising impactful and customer-centric sales and marketing teams at high-growth SaaS companies. She understands growth stage, scale-up, and established public company structure and culture, with knowledge of scaling companies from $3M ARR to more than $300M.

Stephanie is a graduate of the University of Northumberland, where she received a degree in Marketing (Hons).

Michael Zheng

Michael is a Venture Partner at F-Prime focusing on FinTech and Saas companies. Previously, Michael was the 1st Finance & Ops hire at multiple venture backed SaaS startups (Affinity, Drawbridge) who built high performing Strategy, Finance, and Ops functions while raising $200M+ from leading venture firms. Earlier in his career, he helped found Fluid Financial, an on-demand invoice financing and cash flow management platform.

In recent years, Michael has leveraged his experience & expertise to serve as Advisor and Investor for numerous early stage startups.

Michael is a resident of Oakland and holds an B.A. in Economics from UC Berkeley.

Rocio Wu

Rocio Wu is a Principal at F-Prime leading investments in FinTech and Enterprise software. Previously, she was an investor at Liquid 2 Ventures (founded by NFL hall of fame quarterback Joe Montana) where she invested in companies like Chipper Cash (an African cross-border payments company) and Overjet (artificial intelligence for oral healthcare). She was also a Sequoia Scout and an angel investor in Inworld.ai (developer platform for creating AI-powered virtual characters) and others still in stealth. Before investing career, she worked at Google and Amazon in a variety of operating roles such as CorpDev, GTM Strategy, Marketing across the U.S., Japan, Spain and China.

Rocio is a community builder and is involved in multiple groups that support the involvement of women and minorities in technology, including Xooglers, HBS Circles, and LatAm entrepreneurs. She’s physically based in the Bay Area, but you can often find her traveling to LatAm and other parts of the world learning about different cultures and ideas. Rocio holds a M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.A. from Shanghai International Studies University (joint program with Universidad Pontificia Comillas in Spain).

John Lin

John Lin is a Venture Partner at F-Prime. Previously, he was a Principal at Trinity Ventures where he invested in companies like Squire, Baton, Side, Gatsby, Grow, Synapse, Branch and Harmonize. He was also an angel investor in Seated, Deepen, Relationship Hero, Apostrophe, Mureni, and Motion AI. Prior to joining Trinity Ventures, he founded Townhall, a messaging platform, where he led product and engineering.  The company was acquired by Roomi, where he eventually led product and engineering for the organization. John started his career at McKinsey, Yelp, and Globespan Capital.

John graduated with degrees in Business and Computer Science from UC Berkeley.

Tristan Zajonc

Tristan Zajonc is cofounder and CEO of Continual IQ, an enterprise AI startup working to democratize operational AI. Prior to Continual IQ, Tristan was CTO for Machine Learning at Cloudera and led development of Cloudera’s machine learning software offerings. He was previously cofounder and CEO of Sense, an enterprise data science platform that was acquired by Cloudera in 2016. He has over 15 years’ experience in applied data science, machine learning, and machine learning systems development across academia and industry and holds a PhD from Harvard University.

Steve Schultz

Steve is a Venture Partner at F-Prime focusing on financial services and technology companies. Previously he served as COO of Check, a mobile payments service, where he led product, strategic partnerships, and merchant go-to-market from its inception through its acquisition by Intuit. Check was one of the fastest growing mobile financial services, acquiring over 10M consumers and processing over $1B in payment volume. Steve began his FinTech career with Yahoo! Finance, the leading destination for financial market news and data, where he held general management and senior product line roles. He began his career in software as a product manager at Epiphany, a pioneering enterprise marketing analytics platform.

Steve advises privately held FinTech companies, including SigFig, Finxera and Capital Preferences. He holds an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley and a BA in Economics from UC Davis. He lives in Menlo Park, CA.

Connie Li

Connie is a Principal on the life sciences team at F-Prime based in San Francisco. She focuses primarily on biotechnology investments s and also works closely with the Eight Roads Ventures China team to manage F-Prime’s existing and new investment efforts in China. Connie joined F-Prime in 2019, and has been involved in a number of company formation efforts including K36 Tx, Skyline, Pediatrix, and AlphaGen. Prior to joining F-Prime, Connie was a Consultant with IQVIA in New York, where she advised biopharmaceutical companies on commercial, development, and portfolio strategy topics.

Connie holds an M.B.A from Harvard Business School, M.S. from the Harvard Department of Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology, and a B.S.E. in Bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania.

Carlos Bustamante, Ph.D.

Carlos Bustamante joined F-Prime in January 2019 as a Venture Partner based in Silicon Valley, California and is focused on the application of data science and genomics technology to problems in medicine, agriculture, and biology. He is currently on leave from Stanford University where he is a Professor of Biomedical Data Science, Genetics, and (by courtesy) Biology, was founding Director of the Stanford Center for Computational, Evolutionary, and Human Genomics and is Inaugural Chair of the Department of Biomedical Data Science.

Carlos has a passion for building new academic units, non-profits, and companies to solve pressing scientific challenges. He is currently a Director at EdenRoc Sciences, LLC and Etalon DX, founder of Arc Bio, LLC and CDB Consulting LTD., and has served as an SAB member for more than a dozen companies.

Carlos received his Ph.D. in Biology and MS in Statistics from Harvard University.

Jay Farber

Jay Farber is a Venture Partner at F-Prime, where he leads early-stage investments in FinTech and SaaS companies. Jay joined F-Prime in 2015. He has led or participated in investments in Ashby, Papaya Payments, AvantStay, Quovo, Snapsheet, Vestwell, and System2.

Jay is also General Manager of the technology (GPX) business at Juniper Square, a leading institutional fund administrator and technology provider to VC, PE, and PERE funds. Juniper Square’s clients manage more than $1T in investor capital.

Jay is physically a Bay Area resident and culturally a Seattleite, but has invested across the country and does not hold the Patriots fandom of his F-Prime colleagues against them (mostly).
