Matthew Boersma, Ph.D.

Matthew Boersma is Associate Director at FBRI. As part of this role, Matthew also works with the Alzforum team to develop and curate information resources for the research community. Before joining FBRI, he was a postdoctoral research fellow at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School with Dr. Thomas Schwarz, where his research focused on the biology of mitochondria and synapses.

Matthew received his Ph.D. in neuroscience from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and an A.B. in neuroscience from Bowdoin College.
