Codeship secures $7 million in Series A funding

Codeship, provider of hosted continuous integration (CI) solutions that empower software build and test automation, today announced it has completed a $7 million Series A round of funding, led by Ascent Venture Partners. The funds will be used to enhance the company’s CI platform, which is trusted by thousands of companies to efficiently and reliably deliver high quality software.

Ascent Venture Partners led this round of funding which also included previous investors Sigma Prime Partners, Boston Seed Capital and F-Prime Capital. Ascent General Partner Luke Burns will take a seat on the company’s Board of Directors. In total, Codeship has raised $11.1 million.

Codeship grew significantly in 2016, supported by sales of its Jet product, which launched commercially in February. Chief among Jet’s benefits are speed, increased flexibility and native Docker support that allows developers to customize test environments based on Docker Compose, promoting parity in development, test and production environments.

Recurly Reports Holiday Season was Exponentially Successful for Subscription Companies

This morning subscription management platform Recurly announced results of the 2015 holiday season, which was exponentially successful for subscription merchants.

The results were drawn from a sample of 450 business-to-consumer subscription-based merchants who are clients of Recurly. The study period was two weeks long from Sunday, November 22 through Saturday, December 5, 2015, which included Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Recurly reported the following results:

  • On Cyber Monday, subscription-based merchants experienced a 230% jump in sales compared to other days during the study period.
  • Same-store sales on Cyber Monday grew 83% compared to the previous year.
  • From Black Friday through Cyber Monday, same-store sales grew 70% from the previous year.
  • Three times more coupons were redeemed on Cyber Monday compared to other days during the study period.

Codeship Announces Integration with Amazon EC2 Container Registry

Codeship, a hosted continuous integration service for testing and deploying code, today announced integration with Amazon EC2 Container Registry (Amazon ECR), a fully-managed service for storing, managing, and deploying Docker container images. This latest integration extends Codeship’s ability to support AWS customers that use Docker.

Codeship Raises Another $1.5 Million

Codeship, a Boston startup that helps software companies quickly update their applications, has raised $1.5 million in a new funding round, the company said Thursday.

The investment came mostly from earlier investors Sigma Prime Ventures, Boston Seed Capital, and F-Prime Capital. The company has now raised a total of $4.4 million.

“Based on our tremendous growth, we are encouraged to continue delivering the best solutions to our customers,” said Moritz Plassnig, Codeship’s chief executive. “This new funding helps us to invest more in improving their technology. By refining our products and beefing up operations, Codeship can scale more quickly and better support large companies with their DevOps needs.”
